About the Project & Business Goal
Foursah is a Saudi Arabia-based gamified e-commerce platform that is mainly built on a Dutch descending-auction model. When there are price fluctuations in the products in real time, and buyers actually set their bid on the target price, they are able to win when the price matches their numbers. The primary goal is to make the platform transform routine shopping into a real-time game of patience & timing for the rewarding buyer, and also provide the sellers with a high engagement clearance channel for the inventories that helps in making great engagement & discounts.

How We Engineered Foursah
Each system has been tested against stress conditions where a buyer actually bids correctly but has errors due to platform constraints. We developed this gamified e-commerce platform with a real-time, event-driven auction system combining server-authoritative WebSocket pricing broadcasts, Redis-enabled state management, and atomic bid resolution logic.
We developed a robust server-side auction clock engine that manages broadcasts and synchronizes real-time updates across connected clients.
There is a building of an atomic bid match database that helps to select the winners from registered bids, which also takes within microseconds.
Integration of Moyasar-based payment helps in bid registration. This also clears out App Store & Google Play reviews fulfilling the consumer protection standards.
We developed a capable notification engine so that there are major and meaningful alerts per auction, with the auction process determining the live status.
Built all UI components in RTL, native Arabic language, having Eastern Arabic numerals, RTL layouts, etc., without any duplication while switching to English mode.
Compliance like KSA PDPL and ZATCA for Moyasor was maintained along with the invoicing process. Data processing & payments gets seamless with explicit consent.

How We Developed Foursah
Building the platform, we actually followed a real-time-first development approach as a eCommerce app development company, establishing stress testing of the auction system, live sync & bid resolution settings prior to designing the shopping pathway. It needs to have a core auction flow prior to the user experience.
Auction Research & System Design
We assessed Dutch descending auction settings, mapped KSA consumer shopping behavior, and successfully resolved concurrency issues within the auto-win bid logic.
Arabic-First UX Design & UX Testing
We designed all the screens in the RTL Arabic version in live price views, product cards, bid inputs & win notifications. Tailored it with Saudi users for greater validation prior to development.
Auction Engine & WebSocket Infrastructure
Created a server-authoritative price clock, Redis pub/sub state management, a WebSocket broadcast layer & an atomic bid-match transaction processor with the simulation of 500 sessions.
Moyasar & Payment Pre-Authorization
Integrated Moyasar tokenization for bids, ZATCA-VAT-based invoices, Apple Pay & STC for one-time payment options. And, the payment processes are reviewed in the KSA standard.

We carefully positioned metadata associated with iOS & Android builds for better auction commerce & consumer protection. It runs across 200 users across 50 live auctions for validations.
