Restaurant Management Platform & POS solution
We developed Tawla, an integrated restaurant management platform & all-in-one POS solution for Kuwait’s food and beverage sector, that consolidates essential F&B operations into a single system. The platform combines operational management (POS & billing, table bookings, and reservations), customer-facing interfaces (QR-menu ordering, browse & order from phone device), and financial & analytical tools (payment & invoice processing, reports & analytics dashboards for tracking sales & performance trends). Tawla is a replacement for fragmented, multi-tool stacks and is built to enable scaling across multi-location operations.

About the Project & Business Goal
Tawla is a restaurant operating system specially developed for Kuwait’s F&B sector that generally replaces the disconnected tools such as POS, printed menus, reservation books, payment systems, and reporting software with a single unified restaurant operating platform. The goal was to establish a real-time operational backbone where POS billing, QR ordering system, reservations, payment systems, & reporting software with Arabic first bilingual experiences, KNET integration, & also multi-location scalability that helps the restaurants to simplify operations & guiding in long-term businesses.
What We Built for Tawla
One Platform Replacing a Stack of Five
There is a unified POS, QR menus, reservations, & payments & reporting systems, all in one platform, replacing disconnected systems.
Four Surfaces, One Real-Time Backbone
In one backend system, all POS, QR menus, kitchen displays, and dashboards are managed with synchronized real-time updates & operational status.
Built for Kuwait F&B Operations
Arabic RTL, English support, KNET payments, & multi-location management systems are developed for Kuwait’s highly growing restaurant business.
Platform by the Numbers
Our team designed Tawla as a unified restaurant operating platform with a real-time backend system that connects POS, QR ordering system, reservations, KNET payment integrations & analytics for Kuwait’s bilingual, multi-location-based F&B businesses.
Restaurant Modules Unified
POS, QR ordering, reservations, payments, and reporting are unified on one platform with a single login system for all restaurant staff.
Connected Systems
There is one backend system associated with staff POS, customer QR menu, manager dashboard, & kitchen display, having no such manual synchronization.
Native Bilingual Experience
Arabic RTL & English LTR settings are present across every surface, menu, and receipt that are actually built natively for Kuwait’s restaurant space.
Lower Order Errors
Faster Order Throughput
Quicker Table Turnover
Platform Uptime
Key Engineering & Product Challenges
An integrated restaurant management platform needs to perform reliably in fast-paced environments where peak hour traffic conditions, unstable connectivity, bilingual workflows, & multi-location operations actually demand uniterruption in speed, accuracy & service continuity.
Four Surfaces, One Live View
In QR orders & staff POS updates, there is a need for proper synchronization across the kitchen display, table tabs & manager analytics without stale or inconsistent data.
Service Could Not Stop Offline
The POS systems had to continue taking orders, printing receipts & also processing payments while connectivity dropped, without creating any duplicates.
KNET, Cards & Cash Together
There is a required payment layer for supporting KNET, cards, & cash with accurate KWD pricing, clean reconciliation, & reliable end-of-day settlement.
Bilingual Across Every Surface
Menus, restaurants, kitchen tickets, & analytics require proper native Arabic RTL & English support without compromising usability or consistency.
One Venue or Many Locations
The architecture needs to support both single restaurants & multi-location groups with shared menus, location pricing levels, & also consolidated reporting.
Built for Peak-Hour Operations
The platform had to reliably handle high order volumes, simultaneous kitchen workflows, and concurrent payment requests without compromising speed, stability, or customer experience.
Engineering Solutions Behind Tawla Restaurant OS
While developing the integrated restaurant management platform and all-in-one POS solution, every decision is focused on one outcome that generally helps Kuwait’s restaurant operators to manage their orders, workflow, payments & reporting through Tawla, starting from orders & kitchen operations to payments & reporting, without slowing down any services.
We developed Tawla on a WebSocket-enabled event stream system backed by Redis pub/sub. Every QR code, kitchen update, payment, & waiter action instantly transmit across the staff POS, kitchen display, customer QR menu, & manager dashboard without any manual refreshes, while supporting the process.
Built iOS & Android staff POS offline-first, with storing orders, payments, receipts, and table updates stored in SQLite prior to be synchronized automatically once connectivity is established. Queued actions are deduplicated on resync, keeping services uninterrupted.
Integrated KNET alongside card & cash payments into one unified payment flow system. Each transaction records payment methods, KWD with three decimal precision & reconciliation details, offering operators an accurate end-of-day settlement without manual matching across payments.
Built the platform in Arabic RTL first, prior to extension every experience to English LTR. The menus, receipts, kitchen tickets & dashboards with bilingual content, along with configurable language display & Eastern Arabic numerals, where actually there is a better culture established for Kuwait restaurants.
Developed the backend as a multi-tenant SaaS platform in which each restaurant can manage multiple locations. Integrated shared menus & policies that actually get controlled centrally while allowing location-level overrides, with consolidated reporting across every venue from one place.
We simplified the merchant onboarding process to 3 steps: sign up, customize menus, tables, and finally to the taking order stage. Along with that, a structured service demo request that captures restaurant details & routes that are qualified merchant leads directly to the sales team.
Designed for Diners. Optimized for Restaurants.
We designed every experience around the daily workflows of restaurant staff and diners across Kuwait’s F&B sector. The outcome was an Arabic-first bilingual design system that delivers intuitive ordering, faster table operations, and seamless management across the staff POS, QR menu, kitchen display, and manager dashboard through one unified user experience.

Built for GCC Restaurant Operations
We engineered the restaurant management platform Tawla around four regional foundations—payments, language, scalability, and restaurant operations- so the platform fits how Kuwait and GCC restaurants actually run instead of forcing them into generic global workflows.
Native KNET Payment Infrastructure
KNET, cards, cash, and digital wallets work together with KWD three-decimal precision and settlement workflows built for Kuwait’s payment ecosystem.
Localized Arabic-First Experience
It includes RTL layouts, bilingual menus, Arabic typography, and localized formatting to deliver a seamless experience for both restaurant staff and diners.
Scalable GCC Architecture
A multi-tenant platform designed to support single outlets today and multi-brand expansion across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE tomorrow.
Regional Dining Workflows
Ordering, table service, kitchen operations, family dining, and Ramadan workflows were built around GCC restaurant practices, not Western POS.
Compliance & Governance Standards
The integrated restaurant management platform and all-in-one POS solution is built with secure payment handling, tenant data isolation, and operational governance practices supporting KNET-integrated transactions, multilingual experiences, and reliable multi-location restaurant operations.
Engineering Stack Powering Tawla
Every technology that we selected for Tawla was validated against real-time multi-surface synchronization, offline-first restaurant operations, KNET payment processing, peak-hour service reliability, & the scalability requirement of a multi-tenant restaurant SaaS platform that is built for Kuwait & wider GCC marketplace.

How We Built Tawla
We followed an operations-first engineering approach, where every workflow was actually designed around how the restaurants in Kuwait actually operate during live service, not how a software demo suggests they should. The result was a platform that consistently felt faster than any manual processes that it replaced.
Discovery & Restaurant Workflow Mapping
We mapped Kuwait restaurant workflows that actually define the 4 surface architecture, multi-tenant data model & the bilingual content requirements prior to design.
Arabic-First UX Across All Surfaces
Designed the staff POS, QR menu, manager dashboard system & KDS in Arabic RTL first, then mirrored it to the English version, thus making a streamlined process.
Core Platform & Real-Time Backbone
Established a multi-tenant backend with WebSocket event stream, GraphQL API, & 4-surface synchronization, load-tested for Kuwait’s Friday lunch peak.
Staff POS, QR Menu & Offline Resilience
Developed React Native staff POS & Next.js QR menu system with offline-first sync, thus validating a complete restaurant service workflow system.
KNET Integration & Manager Dashboard
Integrated KNET, card acquirer & cash reconciliation while establishing the manager dashboard system with analytics & multi-location setup.
Brand Site, Pilot Rollout & App Store Launch
We built the Tawla brand site & piloted with Kuwait restaurants, refined workflows, & launched the iOS & Android applications for a commercial rollout.
What Our Client Says
Every technology decision was driven by three imperatives: uninterrupted restaurant operations where service cannot stop during peak hours, real-time synchronisation across four connected surfaces without data inconsistency, and scalable multi-tenant architecture supporting Kuwait’s bilingual, KNET-enabled restaurant businesses.
They didn’t build us a POS app; they built our whole operating system. POS, QR, reservations, payments, and reports, in one place, in Arabic and English, with KNET working the way Kuwait restaurants expect. Service runs through Tawla now.
We understand multi-tenant SaaS architecture, four-surface real-time synchronisation, offline-capable POS, GCC payment integration (KNET, Mada, Apple Pay), Arabic-first bilingual UX, and the operational reality of building software for venues that can’t afford downtime. Let’s talk.
